5.21.2008: sad day, happy day

I may sound overly-teenybopper, but my little heart broke when David Archuleta didn't win American Idol. I was really rootin' for my home state representative, especially because I think he has an amazing voice. I do agree, however, that although he didn't win the glorious title, he has a musical career pretty much "in the bag." On Wed. night, I mourned with the other Utah fans that mourned, but now I'm moving on, and look forward to the great music that will come out of this year's contestants. David Cook is talented...but I'll be a fan of Archuleta forever! Bring on the American Idol try-outs in SLC!!! I'm ready!!! I hear they're coming!
But on a happy note, my little angel boy turned 5 weeks old on Wed...although, sadly, he was still a little sick with a cold. It breaks my heart to see him in discomfort :( We've had some rough nights, but the humidifier has helped to calm things a bit. I'd like to leave everyone with a pic of who I think can be a future American Idol...(first we have to make him a U.S. citizen, but that's a minor detail)...
