"spring" break part one
We just got home from a refreshing trip to the mountains and to Calgary! It was a beautiful and much-needed change in scenery. We started our trip by taking care of some urgent immigration applications for the two youngest kiddies. That was a headache, I'm not going to lie. It was stressful and not cheap. Luckily, the girls were able to withstand all the waiting around in a stuffy waiting room. Except for Tak who was under the weather and was a fussy, crying mess pretty much the whole time. We got lots of stares from strangers...gotta love it when that happens! But once we got all the important things out of the way, we took advantage of the time to enjoy a few sights.
On our way to Banff, we went thru Canmore....there's a little inside joke between my sister Maria & I about Canmore....the Canmore picture is for her :) We took a little stroll along the main street in Banff and we encountered some great finds. More pictures to come. The experience reminded me of Park City. I was a little disappointed that the weather was cloudy and cool during our 2-day trip, but it was warm enough to enjoy the outdoors as long you had a tuke and coat. On our way to dinner, Mark spotted....moose....oh, wait, we drove closer and then they looked like deer....oh, wait, we drove even closer and we realized they were caribou! The girls were thrilled! Caribou?!? They were so excited to see them up close...well, inside the vehicle.

We almost went to Canmore at the same time, but we switched to Disneyworld. Bummer I didn't get to see you.
