it's Back to School!
Let's face it. I'm a nerd. I love[d] school. When my formal education days came to an end a few years ago, I secretly hoped that I would get my hands on some interesting, updated college textbooks. Now I get to have my wish, thanks to Mark. Like I said, I'm a nerd.
I'm looking forward to a new year of gospel study curriculum during Sunday School. Even though we're still out in the hallway with a newborn and/or a "nursery-hating 20 month old," I still try to get my dose of the lesson...it's the OT (old testament) this year...it's not for the faint of heart ;) It's definitely time for me to re-read that standard work. And there's also Gospel Principles this year. It's back to the basics!
And one more reason why I am a nerd...I love back-to-school sales...not just the clothes shopping, but office supplies. You know, like the sales at the Office Max...and Walmart... and Target. I get a weird thrill out of buying tons of college-rule notebooks and/or 200 ct. college-rule loose leaf. And I love random supplies like colored staples, white-out, pens with erasers, ballpoint pens, mini notebooks...and...mechanical pencils. Love those. Thankfully (?!?), I have transferred that nerdiness to my oldest daughter...so now we can bask in the glory of the back-to-school supply sales together(!).
Last week we celebrated Mark's return to school for another semester full of more health science prerequisites. This week, though, MY BROTHER returns from his 2 year church mission in Mexico (!!!!!) Can't wait to see him! He has got some catching up to do! He has 2 nephews whom he has never seen!!!
Until next time...enjoy a few pics from my project 365. One picture a day representing something from that day. Last year's attempt was weak. This year, I am more organized, more ambitious, more excited, and more motivated.

{Day 1} New Year's Day, the kids spent time with the Baxters, giving Mark & I a few hours to ourselves.

{Day 2} Enjoying some time with dad. Once school starts up again, Tak will miss hanging out with dad during the day. He LOVES his dad.

{Day 3} Mimi's first day of CTR class...she's showing off her CTR ring...silly girl.

Love your new family photo! How beautiful!
Hmmm...if those things qualify one as a nerd, I guess I'm one too! I'm in good company, though.
