success at the lake
Early in July, we got our daddy and husband back. It was great! I felt a bit "lighter" as I realized that I could now share the workload, both physically and mentally, of our family life. What a relief! I was finally able to focus a bit more on some personal goals and tasks.
However, there were many deadlines and things to plan for, namely the upcoming fall semester and the associated costs, and immigration applications and fees. We seriously didn't see when and if we could get away for a few days of vacation. But... we spent a week rearranging our schedules and put plans on hold so we could venture off to Montana. And...we're so glad we did! We all had a blast and enjoyed spending time with our family from Canada that we don't get to see often. Love that we can meet kind of in "the middle" to hang out and enjoy the water and the sun! :)
Tak and Mark were almost inseparable. Whether on the boat or on a tube ride, there they were, side by side. Oh, and he is such a water-lover...he was practically in heaven all week!

During our 9 hour drive up to the lake, Mark and I talked to the girls about how fun skiing is and asked them if they were going to try it this year. They were sooo excited and we were soooo proud that they tried it and showed us how brave and strong-willed they are. Seriously, we couldn't be any prouder of these little girls!!! Success! :)
Diana on the water...tough as nails!

Maria on the water...totally determined to ride the water like it's no big deal!

Oh, I'm so happy for you! You survived without Mark and now he's finally back--phew. And I am so impressed by your girls' ability to water ski! I've never even done that.
