the update!

One of my favorite things about living here is that just when you think summer is over---it's not!!! So, even in September, we were hitting up the swimming pool and the kids were enjoying the sprinklers. Love it!

This year, Mark and Diana started school on the same day...kind of cool to send a university student and a kindergarten student off to school :)
Anyway, Diana LOVED her first day of school...and she has enjoyed every day of it so far. I know she has waited sooo long to go and we're so proud that she's so prepared! On her first day, I took a few quick snapshots of her and she did ALL of her own posing...I know she's so patient with me because I always insist on sneaking in a few pics!
And thus begins a brand new school year. I'm looking forward to what it has in store for me (late night study sessions with Mark, chaperoning field trips, making lunches, proof reading essays/papers for Mark, volunteering at class parties, parent-teacher meetings, etc.)!
