changing the world, one diaper at a time

A long time ago {well, relatively}, my biggest dream was to change the world by becoming a doctor. And not just any doctor. The best one ever. Not famous, or rich, or anything, but one that quietly went about serving my fellowmen, learning compassion, selflessness, patience, and all that good science. I wanted to change the world by serving others all while transforming into the type of person I wanted to become. In my mind's eye, I had big plans for visiting areas of the world where medical care was inadequate, unaffordable, and hard to come by. Such were my dreams. Big, big dreams they were. And these dreams were accompanied by the soaring excitement to go & do. My dreams are coming true, though, in a different way. I look at my little army of valiant children and I gush with pride. My cup runneth over with joy and I see in them the very same sense of excitement to be better and be a lasting, righteous influence to all. Yes, my dreams are coming true, right before my very eyes :)

Enjoying some family time at the Salt Lake Temple on General Conference Sunday. I think we might make it a conference tradition.

Love the gleam in the kids' eyes as they take in the view of the temple up close. Such tender teaching moments we've had with them on these sacred grounds. Brings tears to my eyes.

I know what you're thinking! Future missionary indeed!

Love that my children find happiness in whatever, whenever.

Such a sweet post. Thanks for sharing. (And I remember those doctor dreams, by the way.)
