for your entertainment....dear Santa...
a small sampling of our letters to santa this year:
{diana}
dear santa,
i want a barbie house, a barbie princess castle, a barbie car, a barbie computer, a barbie christmas carol doll, a barbie ballerina, a barbie princess horse, and a barbie diamond castle...
(anyone see a theme here?)
{mimi}
dear santa,
i want a barbie house, a barbie diamond castle, a cinderella, a belle, an ariel, a tinkerbell, and all the polly pockets...
(no such luck on those polly pockets...tak will choke on all those little pieces!)
{takaru}
dear santa,
i want some new clothes. mine are getting too small. i want some new toys. the ones at my house are for girls. i want lots of candy, preferably the kind that you don't need lots of teeth to eat.
{nataly}
dear santa,
i would like a house.
make it a big, big house. oh, and with a big yard. with a fence.
i would like a kitchen big enough to actually cook in. and lots of cupboard space so that i'm not afraid of opening them and watching all the stuff inside come tumbling down.
i would like to live in a place that doesn't require me to plug my car in for it to start and then leave it running for half an hour, only to realize that the car is still not very warm inside.
i would like a big house. oops, did i already mention that?
i would like a room for all my projects and photography equipment...mark has already claimed the master bedroom for his tools and paperwork...a big mess...
i would like a separate room for food storage...currently, we have food storage and water under tak's crib and under our bed.
i would like a garage. please. i am tired of having to accommodate all of mark's auto glass tools in our bedroom and kitchen floor...not the best decor!!!
and lastly, please include a full-time maid...so that i can catch up on some much-needed sleep...who knows when tak will sleep thru the night!
{mark}
dear santa,
i want a happy wife.
please get my wife a house.

Nice. Love your letter. I hope you get it...it meaning the house.
I am with you all the way, Nataly! As I read your letter to Santa, I thought, "Wow, she and I are definitely on the same wavelength." Entiendo, Hermana! I'm glad someone else out there understands my frustrations with a small apartment. I just keep reminding myself this isn't permanent...
