birthday boy!

it goes without saying that i think i have the cutest boy. ever. seriously. well, we think he is the most adorable boy :)

i think we must have celebrated his first birthday over the course of 5 days in some way, shape, or form. on his actual birthday, we blew up balloons and let the kids play with them. it was pretty cool outside, so i think all we got to do was a quick stroller ride around the block. then over the weekend we semi-celebrated again by having his dinner party at Mucho Burrito. and then the following monday we invited all our cousins, aunts, and uncles to Chuck E. Cheese...where he ran around simply mesmerized by all the activity. he has been walking for months now, so there's really no containing him any more...just a lot of chasing! and then the following wednesday, the night before grandma went home, we had the traditional cake smash! with chocolate fudge cake, of course, for the extra-messiness-factor. and, yes, i got to bathe him right after the chocolate cake massacre. hope you had a great birthday, little guy ;)
