Pocketful of Sunshine

Welcome home, little one. We will try to make the transition as smooth as possible. We will love you, cuddle you, hold you and reassure you with kisses that you are the center of our universe.

Church at 9am. Up for school. Hairdo's for girls. Lunches. Homework. Reading. Laundry x 10. Dinner planning. Dinner making. Groceries. Meal cleanup. Sweep. Mop. Driving. Everyone. Everywhere. Hair. Church callings. Scriptures. Dance lessons. Disinfect. Teach, teach, teach! By example! Diapers! Naptimes. Library trips. McD's. Bathrooms. Phone calls. Check Mail. Food storage. Crafts with kids. Baking, of course. Target. Dishes Again. Pay bills. Baths & Showers. Swim lessons. Remind. Everyone. of Everything. Makeup (!). Play trains with the boys. Emails. Proofread husband's writing assignments. Volunteer in classroom. Editing sessions for clients. Please & Thank you's and everything else. In English. In Spanish. & in French. Check Backpacks. Gas in Car. Playdates. Wake up with baby. Again. Visiting Teaching. Personal & Family Prayers.

It's not that the job gets easier or that there is enough time to get it all done.
It's that you focus on priorities and plan for the inevitable... and plan ahead. Always plan ahead. But live in the moment. I think I will spend the rest of mortality pursuing this...and I'm okay with that.
