in our little corner...
While rumors of the end of the world, recent tornadoes, nearby flooding, etc. filled the newscasts, we were busy keeping things in perspective for the little people in our lives.
A few weeks ago we took a little field trip after Stake Conference to show the kids around the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, where we were married. We originally planned on taking them to Temple Square, but it was raining (yet again)... however, on our way to visit our family down south, the sun came out and we decided to stop in American Fork.

Little Tak explained to us that this was a beautiful church and a castle...

There were still some blossoms to be found all around the grounds... I think I was singing "Popcorn Popping" at some point to entertain the little boys...

This little man is the center of our world. He's so animated and has this absolutely fascinating personality...
{I love, love, love the gorgeous light in all these pictures--seriously, if you ever have family portraits done, pray for this kind of light ;) }

My baby. Don't dethrone him until the next one is born. He is still my baby :)
This smile is the one that offsets the headaches and frustrations he is so famous for...

Trying to teach them reverence on temple grounds...this temple is so special to me. Not only was I married here, but as a 17 year old Laurel, I got to go to the dedication. And for our youth service activities, we came down to the grounds while it was being built to clean it up. I even remember picking out a rock from the grounds which we later painted and had a fireside about the importance of prayer. It was our "temple rock"... and under our pillow it went--- so that it would remind us to pray morning & night!

I call her "little momma." A nurturer by nature and a sweetheart. A little bit of sass and sweetness. Just like her dance moves--she's seriously a natural... I tell Mark that she got her moves from him. Totally. And she loves to sing. She got that from Mark too. T-o-t-a-l-l-y... {hahaha}

Our "little" girl. Now that I'm pregnant with another little girl, it's like everything's coming full circle. This pregnancy takes me back to when she was just a baby bump... feels like forever ago, even though it really isn't.
This little girl also amazes me. She frequently tells me her hopes and dreams. She wants to go on a mission. And go to college. And help me with whatever I need help with. And she wrote me a song for Mother's Day. She's wise beyond her years...
