"I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home"...
So, here's the scoop, daddy. You missed a lot of cool things this summer when you were gone. We've had lots of fun and we've celebrated a whole bunch of things... kindergarten graduation, dance recitals, fourth of July, and even a family wedding! You missed a lot, like basically 2 months worth... and we missed you too. We'll attempt to catch you up on as many events as we can. This will be fun. And it will seem as if summer has extended clear into September, your birthday month! :)
With mom's help, we, your children, will tell you all you need to know. And don't worry ...we won't forget the funny stuff! :)
How about this for starters...so one day, mom was bathing the little boys after another fun evening at the Build-A-Bear park, our favorite park. Well, out of the blue, little Tak asked her a question...
Tak: "Where's daddy?"
Mom: "He's ...."
Tak: "He's in Texas?"
Mom: "Yup, he's in Texas."
Tak: ..."making money and doing cowboy stuff...like riding a horse, saying YEE-HAW!" (said with a big grin and lasso hand actions)
Mom: "Oh, really? Yup, I guess so..."
Mom tried really hard not to bust out laughing, knowing that it would spoil the moment. Tak was so happy and seemed quite proud of himself for being able to let us know not only where you were, but also what you were doing... and he made it sound oh-so-fun! So we just left it at that. And from then on, when we asked Tak where you were, he would tell us just that. You were in Texas making money as a cowboy :)
Welcome home, Cowboy Daddy!!! Look at how happy we were to see you!
***you came home at the end of June...sporting your nifty Vivint gear and an unshaven face. you must have been working pretty hard. and you were so tan. love that El Paso sun :) ***
